DebConf23 Kochi BoF

DebConf23 Kochi, is the 24th edition of the annual Debian Conference. DebConf23 is the first DebConf happening in India and only the second to come to Asia after DebConf18 Hsinchu. Work is already underway for DebConf23 and in this BoF we want to introduce the conference while soliciting interested volunteers while also discussing the progress of various team, in person.

Digital Signature, End to End encryption, and Key Signing with GnuPG

Create a gpg key pair, setup vim gpg plugin, send signed/encrypted emails with thunderbird/evolution/k9 mail,signing git commits, sending encrypted messages with xmpp clients and sign other people’s keys.

Debian uses gpg extensively fro verifying package uploads, voting in elections or requesting certain services.

This workshop will give you a basic overview of public key cryptography and hands on experience in using gpg in may common tasks.
